Terms of Trade

 

These Terms of Trade (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by Quality Tints Limited ("we", "us", "our") to the customer ("you", "your") in relation to window tinting and related services.

 

1. Quotes & Bookings

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

  • Quotes are based on the information provided at the time. Changes to the job scope may affect the final price.

  • A deposit may be required to secure a booking.

  • Acceptance of a quote constitutes agreement to these Terms.

 

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service may incur a cancellation fee.

  • We reserve the right to charge for time and materials already committed if a job is cancelled after work has commenced.

  • Rescheduling due to weather or unforeseen circumstances will be accommodated where possible.

 

3. Preparation & Access

  • You must ensure the area to be tinted is clean, dry, and accessible.

  • For mobile services, a sheltered, weather-protected area is required to carry out the tinting work to a professional standard.

  • Any delays or complications due to access or site conditions may result in additional charges.

 

4. Product & Installation

  • We use high-quality window films and apply them to a professional standard.

  • Slight imperfections may occur due to dust particles or glass quality and do not constitute defects.

  • It is your responsibility to comply with any laws or regulations regarding tinting levels (e.g., automotive legal limits).

 

5. Payment Terms

  • A deposit may be required at the time of booking. Full payment is due upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month and/or suspension of future services.

  • Ownership of all materials remains with us until full payment is received.

  • If your account remains unpaid beyond the agreed terms, we may engage a debt collection agency or legal services to recover the debt. All costs associated with recovering overdue accounts — including agency fees, legal costs, and any other charges — will be added to your account and are payable by you.

 

6. Warranty & Care

  • We offer a warranty on window film against bubbling, peeling, and discolouration due to manufacturing defects, provided proper care is taken.

  • Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, improper cleaning, scratching, or breakage of the glass.

  • After installation, a curing period is required during which water or haze may appear. This is normal and will clear as the film cures.

 

7. Liability

  • We take all reasonable care during installation, but accept no liability for damage to glass or frames with pre-existing defects, corrosion, or poor installation.

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

 

8. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, illness, accidents, or supply shortages.

 

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Zealand.
